I’m Kenzie, a self-taught artist based in South Carolina. By day, I work at an accounting firm in Greenville, but during my free time, I love to paint while catching up on reality TV and enjoying my favorite iced coffee. Art has always been a true passion of mine, though I kept it to myself for a long time due to fear of what others might think. Thankfully, my best friend who doubles as my husband encouraged me to share my creations with the world. It took me a while to embrace the title of “artist,” until I finally decided just to be one. My work mainly features bright abstract pieces, floral designs, and landscapes. Excitingly, I’m just weeks away from welcoming my baby girl to the world, a dream my husband and I have had for nearly a decade. Our journey of infertility has been tough and at times heartbreaking for us. On the hard days, I found solace on my studio floor, painting away. Interestingly, some of my most vibrant and favorite pieces came from moments of pain and sadness, proving that beautiful art can come from heartache.
